Open Terrain Studios builds games — and the AI-native engine that makes them.
We're an independent studio with a simple shape, borrowed from the best in the business: build great games, and build the technology underneath them. Our first title is Empires of the Fallen World, and it runs on our own engine, Open Terrain Engine.
That engine is the bet. Instead of bolting AI onto a traditional editor, it's built so an AI agent can author a whole game in idiomatic, human-editable C# and verify it through a deterministic, headless loop — while a human can open and edit any line at any time. It's how a small team aims at a big game.
We're early and we say so: the game is in design, the engine is in development, and we're building both in the open. No fake screenshots, no invented metrics, no launch countdown — just the work, shared as it happens.
